Before I created this blog, I think deeply about posting my mini series of adventures as I travel anywhere. Just recently, I went to Cuenca and Lemery, both mnicipalities in Batangas situated in southwest Luzon and belongs to CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) region. We all know that Batangas is known for its magnificent beaches. You can do some water activities here like snorkeling, island hopping and scuba diving here. Perfect for a summer getaway.
Since the main purpose of going there is the annual team building, we just settled for a cozy place by the beach and at the same time with a pool. It wasn't my department's team building and it's a self invitation of sort :) LOL so sorry for not getting into the details of how to get there and how we came up with the nice place to stay in. I wanted to share this unexpected undertaking of mine.
Our adventure started off with mountain climbing at Mt. Maculot.
It was a bit stiff climb that we had to go through the 14 stations. My heart skipped a beat each time I get nearer the summit.

My first ever climb was a huge success. We were 23 who made the climb and I hit the 3rd rank among the fastest to reach the top. Wooohh!! Round of applause for me please.
I'm on the top of the world screaming! The cold and splendid breeze gently hurled on my face and the panoramic views of lush and green environment always bring astonishment on me.
To mark this event, my office mate took a jump shot of me overviewing the picturesque Mt.. Maculot. Weeew!
After that, we had a voracious appetite and shared all together the early lunch. The table was filled with so much delicious, mouth watering and fresh foods. After resting for a couple of hours, we were on to our next destination: Lemery which is almost an hour away from Cuenca.
I never had the chance to take as many pictures as I can. They were goofing around while I was sleeping soundly the whole afternoon in my air conditioned room. :)
That same day, a group of people held their team building at the resort where we were staying at.
And my swimsuit outfit that day??
Just a plain brown 2-piece with pastel colors at the edge of the lining top with bluish linen see through. To be honest I only bought my outfit that same day which I should never have done - or should I say never I will do again. I hate cramming on the day of travel itself. Lesson learned: spend good time prepping everything you'll need. Banana Boat spf 50 saved me from experiencing again that awful sun burn. For my face, I brought my Face cream spf 50 from The Face Shop.
Not a single bad thing I can say about the place where we stayed at. I could only grumble about the beach which seems not totally clean. A lot of leaves and empty junk food trash can be obviously seen around. The resort could have placed trash bins everywhere but sad to say, I didn't see any. I compliment the beach though for having lights to oversee the people night swimming just in case emergency arises. When I walked by the beach the night when we arrived, I figured it's the only resort having that light that could reach as far as 300 meters. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the pool so I just made the most out of it.

Hello! Thanks for visiting me over my blog. :) I appreciate the comments.
The photos are breathtaking and I want to be in there because living here in Manila is really toxicating and I think my body needs fresh air from the forest and sunburned skin from the stying at the beach.
Btw, I got my domain on name dot com but try to search for another site because you will surely find cheaper ones. Just be patient.
