Yes! You read it right. That was the first crime I ever committed, EVER. I was so ashamed of myself in that instant since I was wearing my school uniform then. This wasn't my attitude to be honest but I was in rush to catch an LRT ride.
What exactly happen?
My class usually starts at 12noon but it was almost 1:00 PM and there I was cramming to get myself a calculator because I will be having an exam from 12:00 - 3PM. I know I've got ample of time to buy one since I no longer work. I hate myself more thinking that I'm being irresponsible lately. After paying the cashier, I hurriedly went down through elevator and made my way to the LRT entrance when out of my mind, I detached the receipt from the plastic where my calcu is, threw it somewhere and placed the calcu inside my bag.
Just a few seconds, the woman in green shirt (MMDA officer) called my attention and asked me to pick up the thrash which I unconsciously threw somewhere. After then, she authoritatively asked for my ID. The next thing I did was to sign the ticket while informing what my violation was.
In 5 days (contrary on the what the receipt says which is 3 days), I must settle the penalty of P500 otherwise I'll have to do a community service for 8 hours at least at the MMDA office. Of course I will choose the latter!

Maybe my mind was occupied by the thought that I was damn late for my exam since it was 1PM already. I am 8-station away from my house to school through LRT and needs to walk for at least 3 minutes before reaching school. You could just imagine how I sweat during that time.
But why did you wake up late when you know you have an exam in your major that day?
Because I slept around 3 am the day before. Why? Because we had a fight with the boyfriend! What a lame excuse I know. I swear this won't happen again.
On the other hand, MMDA's campaign on Anti-Littering and Jaywalking is something that I am proud of. This has been implemented way before but the government is taking this more seriously now. I just hope and pray that this won't be ningas kugon. I'm all out support to the government and I am counting on them that this shall be strictly implemented. Thumbs up MMDA and to the city government.
P.S.
When I arrived at school around 1:20 PM, my professor wasn't yet in the classroom. He decided not to have our exam that day as well! What a lovely day, right?

I was surprised that the MMDA actually took action for littering. That's impressive! Maybe, the govt is really serious in pursuing this campaign. :)
